Way 1: Inside the app (phone or computer)

  1. Open OnceWrote.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Under Your data, choose Delete everything or Delete my account.
  4. For Delete my account, sign in with Google again when it asks, so we know it is you. Then type DELETE and confirm.
  5. If you use OnceWrote on two devices, do the same on the other one, or open it once so it can empty itself.

You cannot undo this. If you want to keep a copy first, tap Export in Settings.

Way 2: By email (no app needed)

  1. Write an email from the same email address you use with Google sign-in.
  2. Send it to oncewroteapp@gmail.com.
  3. Subject: Delete my OnceWrote account
  4. In the message, write: Please delete my OnceWrote account and all my data.

We will reply to confirm. We will delete your account and data within 30 days. You do not need your password or your 12 words.

What is deleted

  • Everything saved in your OnceWrote cloud copy: all your locked writing and your locked key record.
  • Your sign-in record in Firebase Authentication (your id, email address, name and picture).
  • OnceWrote's access to your Google account.
  • With the in-app option: the data on that device too.

What is not deleted

  • Writing saved on your own phone or computer, if you used the email way or only uninstalled the app. On Android, removing the app removes its data from the phone. On Windows, uninstalling leaves your data folder, so tap Delete everything inside the app first.
  • Files you exported yourself. Delete these on your own device.
  • Copies Google keeps in its own systems for a short time before they are erased for good.
  • Your Google account itself. It belongs to Google, not to us.
